I'm sorry to write this, but I'm leaving Talon of Arathor.
The reason is, at least to me, obvious: Even though they do occur, the guild hosts far too few in-game events to guildmembers. What is mostly announced are raids to ZG or AQ20, sometimes the odd premade, and even though these are often fun encounters, I really miss that the guild was supposed to be a roleplaying guild, and to me, that means there are regular in-game events.
So I've decided that if I'm to continue playing this character, I'm going to join a smaller RP guild and let go of some of the raiding.
Besides from this, there are things that bothers me about the guilds leadership, where I have gotten the feeling that the council has practically been dissolved (although technically it still exists), which is, to some extend, what I felt was happening in TRC.
So I'm going to leave you all, I'll still be around, but just wearing another tabard (or more so, I'll be wearing the same Argent Dawn one as before, but you know what I mean)
Good luck to all of you.

The guild cannot run events that people don't turn up to.
A nice as it seems to hold RP events, doing events on large scales take lots of organisation and devotion from all members of the guild, hence why only a few big events happened.
As for the leadership issue, I dont follow you. The council have on a whole been active, except for one who has IRL issues.
However, as TBC looms near there is a limit as to what we can do, as mostly we are stuck with forward planning.
Good luck wherever you go.

I am uncertain what you mean with the bits about the council, All the things we decide go through votes, majority rules the vote and all things we vote on are for the best of the people in our guild.
We all think we dont do enough RP, but the events we try to hold are as Tae already said, hardly visited or people just dont respond at all (Think of the pvp premades Amelia and I try to start and once we have given after 30 minutes people start to wonder why no one is in any of the bg's yet)
Also I would like to add that you cant expect us to do everything for you, you could go about and hold a RP event of your own however you chose to not do so and shove the lack of RP onto Martin, Me, Amelia, Tulle and Krit.
Again, Im sad to see you go since you are a nice guy Q but the bit about the leadership is in my opinion quite wierd.

I agree, RP cannot be organised by 5 people as PvE and PvP can.
RP is supposed to be flowing, living the life of your characters. Not stop-start-stop RP which is confined to events.
We have had RP conclusions of PvE runs for the people who listen and dont hearth at the end, we had RP for the PvP, but the events didnt run because of lack of support.
The RP fundamentals are there, its up to members to build upon it and make it flow. However I will admit we need a strong storyline, however I think TBC will provide this anyway so I am mostly leading up to that.

I'm sorry to say, but the "We can't do everything" is the standard reply when someone says it's a reason they leave. I do RP where I can, and I know I am able to make events as well myself, but RP events aren't only the massive size ones.
On Venture Co., we had weekly guild-meetings which made the RP more flowingly. Indeed, we're a big guild, but doing nothing at all doesn't help. I don't say you should do all the work, but you seem to take the term "RP event" and interpret it into BIG RP event. That is in no way nesseccary.
I don't understand why you are so defensive about this, I did in no way intend to make this "your fault".
